Designer Masaba Gupta is known for her brand House Of Masaba and is famous for being one of the leading couturiers of the country. The designer’s brand is known for classy and elegant clothing. Masaba Gupta recently launched her makeup collaboration with Nykaa and has introduced some cool Lipstick shades along with nail polishes with the eco-friendly cardboard packaging of Masaba’s signature prints. The designer has faced some flak regarding the prints on her packaging and has taken to social media to talk on the topic and share her views.
Masaba, newly launched collection of 12 lipsticks with nail polishes and some beautiful and peppy wearable shades just at the price of Rs. 599. The designer received some flak regarding her prints on the packaging of her new collection with Nykaa. Masaba Gupta took to her Instagram to share a three pictures post in which she mentioned how all throughout the 10 years of her label, the work that they have carried out is ABSOLUTELY ORIGINAL. She also wrote about the whistleblowers who call out fakes on social media, urging them to call out the designs copied by hundreds of people in half of Surat’s printing industry and fabric shops in Bandra and Delhi Lajpat Nagar for the past 8 years and also wipe them out. Masaba further being brave, speaking for her brand said that there are more prints and more are coming and it is because it is not a copy or inspired by another product. The designer went on to thank the immense support she receives from the women and men who support the brand. Masaba end her note to the whistleblowers by an amazing finishing statement which read, “And yes, there’s more. There always will be. Masaba #MasabaByNykaa.”
Masaba Gupta who recently launched her collection in collaboration with Nykaa had sent out goodies to any Bollywood celebrities, who were thrilled with the designer’s new collection and equally supported her on her new venture. Netflix has recently sanctioned a web series inspired on the life of Masaba Gupta. The show will feature Masaba and her actor mother Neena Gupta and the 10 years since the designer has set foot in the world of fashion, armed with her love for quirky prints and rich hues. Directed by Sonam Nair, the series is based on Masaba’s journey, her lineage, her professional highs, her fight for body positivity, and her personal life,a story worthy of telling.
