Bollywood and fashion mixed at LFW and it was awesome for the most part
The Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2015 has been going on in full swing. Bollywood kept its connection with fashion alive and either walked the ramp or sat in the front row.
Sabyasachi opened fashion week with his collection that took inspiration from Bollywood of the ’70s.
Apart from Rani Mukerji and Kajol, his famous front row faces included Deepika Padukone, Kalki Koechlin, Sridevi and Neha Dhupia.
Day 1
Manish Malhotra closed day one of fashion week with a bid to raise awareness against gender violence. Blue and yellow were the dominating colours.
Jacqueline Fernandez, Sridevi and Kajol attended. Huma Qureshi did too but could not have picked a worse outfit by Manish. Deepika stunned in a Michael Kors jumpsuit. In addition to Bollywood stars, Hollywood actress Rosario Dawson also attended.
Masaba also had her show which was Instagrammed live. The bright colours of candy were her inspiration and Nargis Fakhri seemed to be having the time of her life walking the ramp.
Day 2
On the second day Raghavendra Rathore showcased three of his brands in one show. His showstopper was Riteish Deshmukh who walked for him looking sharp in a kurta-pajama with a rich vest.
Shraddha Kapoor walked the ramp for Miss Bennett London in a sparkly dress. Shraddha had great fun with the preppy dress and jaunty ponytail.
It was also interesting to see Vidya Balan walk for Gaurang. Why was she missing from her favourite designer Sabyasachis show, though?
Day 3
On the third day, Shah Rukh Khans wife Gauri showcased her first collection for Satya Paul. True to the collections name ‘A Tropical Wonder, the looks were perfect holiday wear.
Newlywed Soha Ali Khan walked the ramp for designer Babita M.
The other stars who were present on day 3 were Malaika Arora Khan, Genelia D'souza and Kalki.
Day 4
On the fourth day, a serious looking but a very stylish Arjun Kapoor walked for Kunal Rawal.
The gorgeous Esha Gupta was the showstopper for Arpita Mehtas show. She wore a dreamy, flirty gown.
Ileana DCruz strutted down the ramp in a beautiful pink lehenga for Anushree Reddy.
Now, we just cant wait to see what day 5 has in store.
