So, the first thing you notice when a celebrity walks into an event is - the time, because they are so late? Sure. Their entourage? Of course. The fact that everyone
around them is losing their marbles? You bet.
What you also notice is their mug and attached to it their flowing mane, or one that's tied back or curled or... you get the point, right?
Here's a look at some of Bollywood's hairstyles ranging from awesomely bizarre to just plain bizarre.
Anything Kangana Ranaut touches turns into a fashion goldmine. This Vivienne Westwood dress is gorgeous but let's talk about that Princess Leia-esque/Minnie Mouse-esque hairstyle. It's gorgeous as well. I think my mum did my hair like that when I was in the first standard and I tried to replicate that recently and was the butt of all jokes. Kangana, not so much. She's rocking it and she knows it.
Sonakshi Sinha too tried the Princess Leia hairstyle and the results were a little meh. Not because of anything except for the fact that, I think, she could not pull it off. It felt like she was trying too hard. You know what I mean?
Okay fine, Anushka Sharma's got a new haircut now but you don't want her to think that we've forgotten the Phase of the Fringe. Like, seriously, what was going on here? She had the heavy fringe happening and the messy ponytail AND the dark eye make-up. This was also the time when most of looked at her and went, "There's something off about her face, na?"
This hairstyle on Sonam Kapoor is making me crave a Danish pastry. It's so perfectly swirly.
But the beauty of it is that it looks like different things from different angles.
Here it looks perfectly normal and harmless.
And here it's a miniature top hat.
Yes, I'm raking up the past but Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's hairstyle at Cannes 2013 is also pastry-esque. But not very appetising.
