The International Emmy Awards 2019 took place in New York and what’s our proud moment in it? Well, Netflix originals- Sacred Games and Lust Stories were among the nominations for Best Drama Series and Best TV Movie/Mini respectively, along with Radhika Apte being nominated for Best Actress. Karan Johar, who directed a chapter of Lust Stories, Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Vikram Aditya Motwane, Kubbra Sait and Radhika Apte were in Team India for the Emmys.
Talking about the red carpet appearances of the two actresses who attended the do, representing our country- Kubbra Sait and Radhika Apte- well, both of them displayed elegance and style to T. They sported two looks, and both faltered in one of them, making it even.
Kubbra Sait’s first look in a Nikhil Thampi pantsuit was a bit too structured for her body frame but I’d give full marks for the chocolate brown colour and the way Kubbra carried it.
The Sacred Games actress’ red carpet look was a fine and classy one. She chose a grey Gaurav Gupta mermaid fit gown with waist-cuts. Kubbra paired a silver choke to complete the look and looked ravishing in it.
Radhika Apte, on the other hand, went a bit too simple in her floral printed Dior gown with a halter neck. She tied her hair in a bun and sported pearl earrings as accessories.
The Lust Stories actress’ red carpet look was tad different and a bit quirky. She chose a Milky Way Illusion gown in shades of nude, yellow, brown and mauve. Radhika yet again styled her hair in a bun and ditched accessories for this look.
So, between Kubbra and Radhika, who did you find more appealing on the red carpet. For me, Kubbra took the cake, however by a very small margin as actress’ Nikhil Thampi pantsuit was a bit better than Radhika’s Dior gown for the pre-cocktail party.
