It was that time
of the year again when Bollywood celebs turned up in full force to celebrate
fashion at the Filmfare Glamour and Style Awards last night. As expected, we
saw some stunning red carpet numbers.
Aishwarya Rai, who was adjudged the Most Glamorous Star (Female) Award, looked
beautiful in a beaded mesh gown by Kuwait based label, La Bourjoisie. Straight
hair and nude lips completed her look. We couldn’t stop looking at her.
Alia Bhatt tuned heads in a mint Ulyana Sergeenko
dress. The high ponytail and smokey eye added the much-needed drama. The
actress was declared the Youth Icon Of The Year (Female).
Unlike the aforementioned ladies, Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif opted for a
brighter colour for the evening. While we loved the understated make-up, the
Oscar De La Renta gown didn’t do wonders for the actress.
Kajol, who has been paying attention to what she wears nowadays, impressed us
with this half and half colorblock Nikhil Thampi gown
paired with Nirav Modi jewellery. She (correctly) took home the award for the
Fashion Reinvention Of The Year.
You go, girl!
Debutante Pooja Hegde looked oh-so-hot in a dramatic Gaurav Gupta gown. With a
bold lip and the hair pulled back into a sleek ponytail, she worked the look
really well.
The monkeys, as they fondly call themselves, were adorable as they walked the
red carpet. While Bipasha came in, in a black and gold Shantanu And Nikhil
gown, Karan showcased his style in an all-white quirky bandhgala.
If women were out there making fashion statements, why should men be left
behind? Sidharth Malhotra looked dapper in a monotone suede suit. Handsome
hunk, we say. He took home the Most Stylish Star (Male) Award.
The youngest Kapoor, Harshvardhan, won the Fashion Debut Award last night and
looked dashing in a blue suit with a tie.
Among the senior actors, Amitabh Bachchan put his fashion foot forward in a
grey suit. This actor continues to be such a style icon. It didn’t come as a
surprise to know that he was awarded the Timeless Glamour And Style Icon
(Male).
Wearing a saree paired with her trademark gajra and red lips, Rekha looked
stunning as always.
