Ayesha Nair swears this is the last fashion post on Cannes for this year
You Wore WHAT!?
I know, I know. By this time you are practically oding on all things Cannes but I
swear this is the last post. The very last one. Mostly because the festival has wrapped up.
Im taking a look at which Bollywood actress owned the red carpet and picking my
favourite. Why? Because I can.
Lets start with Katrina.
This was Katrinas first time at Cannes. I mean, she might have visited the place
before but this was her first time at the Cannes Film Festival.
She started off well in a cool, sexy dress but then she hit the red carpet and I wish she
hadnt.
The first look was clearly inspired from one of Aishwarya Rai Bachchans previous
Cannes gowns. It was so blah.
For her second appearance she went so red, that somewhere in the woods Red Riding
Hood be like, WTF! Girl, stole my look!

After Katrina, it was Sonam Kapoors turn. Shes been there a few times and knows her way around.
Sonam went bold with two looks that had her in plunging necklines. And can I just say, Dayum, girl!
For her red carpet gig she upped her colour game in an eye-catching cobalt blue gown. Whats not to love?
But then out of the blue she chose a gown inspired by a Lhasa Apso or a feather
duster or a shaggy carpet. Whatever was the inspiration, it did not work.
Thankfully, she redeemed herself in a structured Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla that felt closer to her sense of style.
It also felt like a giant butterfly was on her chest, but it looked great.

And finally, it was Aishwaryas turn to hit the red carpet and boy did she kill it.
She went casual in everything from floral jumpsuits to cool printed pants to a sexy black dress.
But the real magic happened when Aishwarya had to go formal.
This green number was sexy and even showed a hint of leg.
Which was great because we dont normally see Aishwarya get flirty with her fashion.
Then she chose a wine-coloured Oscar de la Renta that was stunning.
Her other look was a fishtail gown which, though dramatic, was not something to lose your mind over.
For the amfAR gala, she went soft in a lavender strapless gown.
But the pice de rsistance (yes, I know fancy words) was this Ralph & Russo gown
crafted by the magical hands of angels.
***So, on the style scoreboard Aishwarya gets a 10 on 10
Trust me, I wanted to give her a higher ranking but ran out of numbers.
* Just go with the flow of the ranking
** Seriously, guys. Dont question it
*** See, I told you it would all make sense eventually
