Just 3 minutes into this Nitin Kakkar product and I had stepped into a new world. This father-daughter story where the 50-plus father who thinks he is 25 (Saif Ali Khan) is unmarried and the 20-something daughter (Alaya F) is pregnant before her marriage (Darwin's theory?) is a joy. Jawaani Jaaneman is something that you must see to understand what you mean and what it implies when you live by the rule 'it's my life'. Haven't you booked your tickets for the weekend yet?

Saif Ali Khan takes you back to his Dil Chahta Hai days. What a performance! A kiss on the cheek of this man who continues to experiment with roles and is now firmly back in the saddle with Tanhaji and now Jawaani Jaaneman. This role should win him some awards, he is that good.

Alaya stuns with her confidence. No flaw in her dialogue delivery, fabulous dressing sense and perfect expressions. This youngster will go the distance.

Tabu comes too late in the film but delights with her special appearance.

If I was to choose THE jaaneman scene of the entire film, I would pick the one where Saif's parents land up suddenly in his house and think that Alaya is his girlfriend and preggers with either his child or his brother's.

If I was to choose THE jaaneman dialogue of the film, it's Alaya asking Saif if he wears sunglasses in the night because he thinks he is Feroz Khan. Guess what the Nawab replies, "Nope, Fardeen Khan!"

Chunky Panday has a very brief role towards the end but leaves a mark. Farida Jalal, like always, does not put a single wrong foot forward.

You can clearly make out that Saif and Alaya must have shared a great camaraderie. They are together in almost every frame and you just can't choose one over the other to give the label 'The Jaan Of The Film'.

And well, well, well, how can I forget Kubbra Sait? Won't she kill me if I skip her? Yes, she is so terrific. Let me withhold it from you what she plays but I bet you won't be able to take your eyes off her. And thank you Kakkar for giving this talent a substantial role.

I am going with THREE-and-HALF.
