It's really good news for Jackie and Tiger Shroff's fans. Tiger is here to stay. Tongues have been wagging in the industry that he looks like a girl, fails to emote, and blah, blah, blah. But Baaghi 2 catapults him into the actor's bracket.
Ahmed Khan (director) projects him as the new angry young man and he delivers.
Tiger Shroff And Disha Patani In Baaghi 2
A word of thanks to Sajid Nadiadwala (producer) for pining faith on this youngster, patience always pays I guess.
So what is Baaghi 2 about? It's about Disha Patani who claims that her daughter is kidnapped and the whole world except Tiger says that she is delusional. And then one fine day, her on-screen lover in her college days, err, off-screen till date, believes not her but the world outside. The very next minute, it's Intermission--- the word Mission projected in big font--- and you know what's Tiger job in the next half is. But it's not so simple. This two-and-half hour film does not thrive on action (surprised because Tiger is in it?), it survives on emotions and suspense. So you will not guess that who is the mastermind of the sinister game unless somebody plays spoilsport with you.

Ahmed who last helmed Fool & Final 11 years ago seems also on a mission. Woh main fool tha in 2007, lekin bas ab aur nahin.
Randeep Hooda- god knows how much he weighs now, though- is such a wonderful actor. And why would he let you down in this one?
Prateik Babbar is
good, but slightly predictable in his mannerisms now. But, good to see him back
looking fresh.
Disha Patani
looks beautiful, and thankfully, does not expose or indulge in heavy kissing to
keep her 'memories alive' (pun intended). She was good as Sushant Singh
Rajput's lover in the Dhoni biopic and is equally at ease sharing screen space
with her darling Tiger, maybe a few scenes here she could have been more
expressive especially when she is angry and upset but has scope for improvement
if filmmakers persist with her.
And now for the
news that should make you happy. While we have often wondered that why Darwin's
Theory has often not applied on the current new generation, Tiger Shroff
finally refutes that thought. That he loves Disha more than anybody else in
this world is vividly seen in his eyes, but the fact that he is hurt by the
criticism in Munna Michael and Flying Jatt and seeks validation is not less stark
either.
Tiger Shroff And Disha Patani In Baaghi 2
A little bit of action in the end, as if Ahmed suddenly remembered that the USP
of his leading man has been flying kicks, opening fire and smashing heads,
could have been reduced a bit. Ditto for the slow-mos. But then,
that doesn't make this thriller any less entertaining.
Yes, Baaghi 2 is a
thriller. Wonder why it wasn't marketed that way. Anyway, there is a second
twist in the end too, which will surprise you. Go for this one, it's a long
weekend and you deserve some entertainment in today's world of so many
undesirable things.
I
am going with THREE.
