Actor Zareen Khan made her Bollywood debut opposite Salman Khan back in 2010. She featured in the 2010 film Veer. Back then, after the film’s release, Zareen made it to the headlines for her physical similarities to actress Katrina Kaif. She was frequently compared to Katrina due to her appearance. Now, Zareen Khan opened up on her weight becoming an issue for her and revealed she was called ‘Fatrina’. The actress has spoken about how she was body-shamed and fat-shamed.
Speaking with the Times of India, Zareen said that her weight became an issue after she shed some pounds. The actress revealed that even after losing 40 kgs, she was shocked that she was being fat-shamed. Zareen said, “I was called ‘Fatrina’. Even when I went out for events, nothing good was ever written about me; they would talk only about my weight.” Zareen shared that she weighed 100 kgs and thought of herself as ‘fat’. Khan said that the body-shaming and everything else had a taxing effect on her mind. She shared that she had a ‘constant feeling of not being good enough’.
During the interview, the actress also opened up about her being compared to Katrina Kaif. Talking about how she was called Katrina’s lookalike, she said, “Honestly, I don't even know from where it had creeped out. Even before my pictures or my interviews came out, a random picture, from my Facebook account, was being circulated with claims that she looks like Katrina."
