Yesteryear actress Mala Sinha made a name for herself in the entertainment industry with her hard work and determination. She became a role model for aspiring women as she dazzled on the big screens with her performances. Well, recent reports suggest that the veteran actress’ iconic bungalow on Turner Road, Bandra has been bought by a builder, Varun Kothari, a few months back.
According to a report by the Free Press Journal, the builder bought the land a few months ago to construct a 22-storey building. Sinha has even moved into an apartment in Bandra, as the construction for the building has started in full swing. The building is expected to be ready in the next 3-4 years. As per the report, the 86-year-old actress’ family will be getting about two floors in the building.
The report also states that the yesteryear actress’ daughter Pratibha Sinha, who also has been a part of the entertainment industry, regularly visits the site to monitor the construction work.
For the unversed, Mala made her Bollywood debut in 1952 with the movie Roshanara. She rose to fame with movies like Pyaasa, Phir Subah Hogi, Dhool Ka Phool. She was a huge name in the industry by working in movies from the 60s to 80s. After being a part of films like Bahurani, Jahan Ara, Gumrah, Himalay Ki God Mein, Anpadh, Geet and Do Kaliyan among many others, she was last seen in the movie Zid (1994). Apart from Bollywood, she has also made a name for herself in the Bengali industry with her amazing performances.
