Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan: Taapsee Pannu Likely To Star Opposite Scam 1992 Actor Pratik Gandhi

All the eyes are on Pratik Gandhi after he nailed it with his performance Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story in 2020. Taking baby steps in Bollywood as per reports in Mid Day, the actor might be seen sharing screen space with talented actress Taapsee Pannu in Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan. Though the news is yet to be confirmed if things fall in place movie goers will get to witness a new jodi on screen. This project will be backed by Siddharth Roy Kapur. 

Speaking about starring in projects backed by Kapur, Taapsee shared his ventures allowing her to pick roles of strong headed women. She said, “I loved the strong and thoroughly entertaining character that Arshad had written for me. It is exciting to partner with a producer as prolific as Sid, as well as Pratik, whose performance in Scam 1992 left a lasting impression on me.” Pratik too on the other hand, shared that he is thrilled to try something new after Scam 1992.

He said, “I was looking to dive into something totally different after Scam 1992, and this role ticked all the boxes.”



Arshad Syed will be marking his directorial debut with this flick, this is an investigative comedy featuring Taapsee as a cop and Gandhi portrays a chauvinistic brat. While their characters will be shown crossing paths on the screen, the film assures to leave you in splits with their humour. Producer Siddharth Roy Kapur on hearing the narration said, “When Arshad narrated his charming screenplay to us, we instantly knew we had to produce the film. We are excited to work with Taapsee, who brings so much energy to the screen, and Pratik, who blew us away with his performance in Scam 1992.”

While the director is currently finalizing the rest of the characters, before donning the director’s hat he had penned Adaalat, Student of the Year 2 and web series, Breathe: Into the Shadows premiered in 2020.
