The news of Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees and Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil locking horns at the box-office sent the actors’ fans in a tizzy.

However, looks like the stars have managed to keep distance from the ongoing speculations and maintain peace at their ends. This morning, Hrithik took to Twitter to post an adorable message for “mentor” Shah Rukh. He wrote, “Dear @iamsrk today as a mentor Im sure u will inspire me yet again with #Raaes and as a student I hope you are proud of me with #Kaabil (sic).”

In response, Shah Rukh sent out warm wishes to the Kaabil team and also addressed the much-talked about clash. The superstar wrote, “@iHrithik wish could have avoided overlap of releases. That said…my love to u & @yamigautam dad & @_SanjayGupta. Kaabil wil b awesome (sic).”

It’s heartening to see that two superstars can keep their friendship alive no matter what the professional scenario is.

While the industry has given rave reviews to both Raees and Kaabil, it remains to be seen which film does the junta prefer.

Raees, set in the 1980s-'90s in Gujarat, is the story of wicked bootlegger Raees Alam, whose relationships and meteoric rise helped him build an entire empire from scratch, to make him the single most powerful man in the state. Certain reports suggested that Shah Rukh’s character in Raees is modelled on Abdul Latif, who was among the most wanted gangsters of the ’90s.

Kaabil, on the other hand, revolves around a blind man who sets out to take revenge for his loved one. Besides Hrithik and Yami Gautam, the film also stars Ronit Roy and Rohit Roy in key roles.
