Just some days back, Arjun Kapoor tested positive for Coronavirus which was then followed by his girlfriend Malaika Arora who also tested positive. Fortunately, the latest reports suggest that Arjun's co-star Rakul Preet Singh is now tested negative for the deadly virus. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Rakul has not contracted the disease, her results came a day before Arjun was diagnosed. The actress revealed that Arjun did not come in contact with anyone on the set and that he might have got in touch with an infected person when she was shooting in Hyderabad.
"He (Arjun) didn't come in contact with anyone on the set. I traced back and figured that he might have come in contact with someone infected while I was shooting in Hyderabad," Rakul Preet said to the tabloid. Rakul Preet further added that she is in touch with the actor and that he is doing well. Though the shoot if the film has been cancelled. The actress said,
"The plane was still on the runway when I got the call. Had I known even half an hour earlier, I wouldn’t have boarded the flight." Talking about her upcoming film, Rakul will be starring in a cross-border love story which also features John Abraham, Aditi Rao Hydari, Arjun Kapoor, Neena Gupta and Kanwaljit Singh in pivotal roles.
Producer Nikkhil Advani shed some light on the plot and their characters to the tabloid, “There is a parallel between Arjun and Rakul’s characters in the present day and the forced break-up between John and Aditi’s characters in 1947 following the Partition."
Meanwhile, just recently, Rakul Preet Singh's name emerged in connection with drugs in the media. Reportedly, Rhea Chakraborty has revealed around 25 celebrities who consume and deal in drugs. Amongst them, Rakul's name came forward along with Sara Ali Khan and Simone Khambatta.
