There are plenty of films where the actors left the project at the last moment for various reasons, be it trouble with shooting dates or having differences with the makers. Similarly, once upon a time, even Shah Rukh Khan had to turn down two film offers from filmmaker David Dhawan back in the 90s. Well, David had approached Shah Rukh with Deewana Mastana where he would be essaying the role of Bunnu, with Anil Kapoor on board as Raja. According to a report in Zoom, Dhawan’s first choice was said to be SRK and not Govinda.

The actor reportedly loved the concept and even agreed to do the film; however, at the last minute, he backed out for the reasons best known to the him. Hence, Dhawan had to continue the film with Govinda. Once again, Varun Dhawan’s father offered another film where he had to romance seven top actresses in a comedy film, titled Kis Kisko Pyaar Karu. However, he denied that offer as well, reportedly stating that the Zero actor and filmmaker did not like each other’s working style. As the film never took off, the title was then acquired by director duo Abbas Mustan and planned the film with comedian Kapil Sharma along with Manjari Fadnis, Simran Kaur Mundi, Elli Avram.

Even though it has been almost 2 decades where we haven’t see the two powerhouses together for a film. However, we are pretty sure it would be thrilling to explore the Shah Rukh Khan and David Dhawan combo.
