It’s been a year since we lost superstar Rishi Kapoor after his prolonged battle against cancer in April 2020. The actor passed amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, leaving the nation in a state of shock. A throwback interview of BollywoodHungama.com had their host asking the late actor’s son Ranbir Kapoor if he wants to star in the remake of any of his father’s films. The question was asked by fans to the young lad via the portal’s social media account. Initially sticking to a firm no, he picked a film and gave a valid reason also for it.
In his reply he shared his father being his favourite star, he has enjoyed all his work, hence he won’t make any remake. However, he feels the movie Zamane Ko Dikhana Hai can be remade as it didn’t do well at the box office, and his father had excellent comic timing in the movie. Helmed by Nasir Hussain it starred Padmini Kolhapure opposite Rishi Kapoor. He said, “My Father is my favourite actor, and I really enjoyed all his work, but I don’t believe in remakes so I will not remake any of his films, I think I can’t better what he did.”
Adding further he said, “But if I had to pick up a film then probably will be Zamane Ko Dikhana Hai It didn’t do well at that time. It’s a Nasir Hussain film starred my father and Padmini Kolhapure I really enjoyed that film it had. I think my father did some great comedy in that.”
