When Nora Fatehi Opened up About 'Traumatic' Auditions And Being Trolled For Not Knowing Hindi

Actor Nora Fatehi has come a long way to achieve the top spot in the film industry. With no filmy name, she has experienced a lot of fluctuations on the professional front. In a throwback interview, Nora had once opened up about her struggling days in the early days of her career in Bollywood.

The 29-year-old actress revealed how she had become the butt of jokes owing to the language barrier. The actress elaborated about the same and added that although she started learning Hindi, the auditions were very traumatic for her. 


Nora mentioned that she wasn’t mentally prepared for them and made a fool of herself. Furthermore, she also revealed that people were not only mean but would also laugh in front of her as if she was some circus. The actress also said that she would cry on her way back home.

Sharing the traumatic experiences, Nora said, "I started learning Hindi but the auditions were very traumatic for me. I wasn't really mentally prepared and I made a fool of myself. People were really unforgiving. They wouldn't just be mean, they would laugh in front of my face as if I'm some circus. They would bully me. It was humiliating. I used to cry while travelling back to my home", said Nora in an old interview with Pinkvilla. 

In the same interview, Nora also added how there was this one casting agent who screamed at her saying, "'We don't need you here. Go back."


Interestingly, Nora's career blossomed post-Dilbar's success and now there's no looking back for her. Apart from that, She has been a part of several films including Batla House, Street Dancer 3D. She is also a popular face on television by being the guest on reality shows like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9, and Dance Plus 4, Dance Deewane among others.
