What Wrong Have I Said About Bipasha, Sonakshi, Jacqueline?
Here's the latest update from the world of Bollywood. We bet you wouldn't want to miss this. Read on for details... Kamaal R Khan is not in remorse mode about his offensive statements on Twitter
SpotboyE.com met up with the most controversial man on the social networking sites Kamaal R Khan (who prefers to call himself KRK) to understand his psyche.
Excerpts from the conversation that followed:
Why have you taken pangas with almost the entire film industry?
What's wrong in calling a bad film as bad?
That's not your only offence. But you are jumping the gun and flushing the filmmakers' hard work down the drain.... How am I jumping the gun? I am a film-critic on the digital platform. It's not my fault if I have a long list of followers. Why should I write reviews to appease people? I want to say exactly what I think of a film. I won't sell myself. I have a loyal audience and I shall never let them down.
Have filmmakers tried to steer you towards writing good for their films?
Yeah. Like for one, Punit Malhotra asked me upfront if I could write nice things about Gori Tere Pyar Mein (GTPM) since he was my friend.
And then? I chose not to do the review of GTPM (pauses).
Go on... Anil Sharma told me he will die if I give a bad review to Singh Saab-The Great. And I chose not to talk about Mahesh Bhatt's latest Khamoshiyaan too.
Why?
Bhatt saab had got very upset with me when I ran down Murder 3. I respect that man a lot. He and Amitabh Bachchan have stood by me always. I deleted my review of Murder 3 and decided not to review any Bhatt saab's film thereafter.
Why did you tweet against Yuvraj Singh: If idiot owners of Delhi IPL team have bought him with highest price it doesn't mean tat he must be in Indian team also #ChillDady. Firstly, let me make it clear that Yuvraj shouldn't be playing in the World Cup. I was very unhappy when his father lashed out at M. S. Dhoni for his son not finding a place in the side. Yuvraj may have been the costliest purchase of IPL '15 but his father should stop being in seventh heaven about it. Let the IPL season begin and we shall know if Yuvraj is indeed worthy.
You tweeted: If Sunny Leone performs striptease at Congress leader Digvijaya Singh's marriage to girlfriend Amrita Rai...
(Interrupts) I didn't do that. There are far too many Kamaal R Khans on Twitter.
You posted a tweet bearing Shah Rukh Khan's name, which read: Its my challenge to entire world if @narendramodi ji will become next PM then I shall not only leave twitter but India also forever...
Someone lifted my tweet and tampered with it. I did not tweet anything against SRK.
Did you feel the need to clarify with him?
No, SRK knows that I didn't write that tweet.
Sunny Leone filed a complaint against you in the Cyber Cell...
Leone wanted publicity. I had just re-tweeted one of her tweets: 'Rape is not a crime; it's just surprise sex'. Don't I have any work that I'll waste time and energy in hacking into Leone's account?
You commented on Bipasha's anatomy... Posting a pic of papayas on Twitter, you said: These are as big as bipasha ke in bipasha song. #Jodibreakers. Prior to that, you had posted, “Believe me I go crazy when Bipasha move her boobs on the song Bipasha of Jodi breakers. Look, Bipasha was moving her chest in a song from Jodi Breakers. If she didn't like what I said, why did she consent to do the song in the first place? Shouldn't she have informed about her displeasure to the choreographer in question?
But why write 'papayas'? Isn't that downright vulgar?
Woh toh khushi ki baat hai, achi baat hai, isme burai kahan se aa gayi?
You said every guy can dream of becoming a star if Dhanush can...
Yes. There's nothing in Dhanush that merits stardom. No personality, no looks, no acting. Look at Shamitabh's fate. It could muster only Rs 20 crore at the ticket windows.
Shah Rukh was the first choice for Dhanush's role...
Had SRK done it, Shamitabh would have made Rs 200 crore.
You called Aayushmann Khuranna a flop actor...
So? He should stop thinking that he'll become a star one day. Stardom is Salman Khan whose bad films are seen by the public because they simply want to see him. Coming back to Ayushmann, let me tell you that the dismal performance of his film Hawaizada was one reason why the film division of Reliance shut down.
Kapil Sharma gave you a piece of mind on Twitter...
I think he was drunk when he called me. He was very abusive too. I have told him that he should learn to hold his drinks.
Referring to Jacqueline Fernadez's tweet that her Hindi improved after working with Salman Khan, you wrote: Don't lie dear. There are many more things of yours which have improved.
Absolutely. Hasn't her acting ability and fan following increased? Kya galat keh diya maine?
You called Malaika Arora Khan as an old woman...
I praised her dance moves in Dolly Ki Doli. But isn't she over 40? Is 40 young? Even I am over 40 and old.
You took on Sonakshi Sinha by calling her fat...
Isn't Sonakshi on the healthier side?
Aren't you scared? Do you go to parties? Shatrughan Sinha or Anil Kapoor might confront you. You even said a lot of uncomplimentary things about Sonam...
Why should I be scared? Of course, I socialise.
Have you gone wrong in your movie analysis?
I did goof up on a couple of occasions. I had written off Raanjhanaa which turned out to be a big hit. And I felt that Madras Cafe would end up at Rs 25 crore but it garnered Rs 55 crore.
How many stars did you give to Happy New Year? One star,
But it did rather well...
Did it? How does it sound if I say that a Shah Rukh film ends up at Rs 175 crore? I think I have answered your question.
Continue...
Do you know that when I gave 4 stars to Chennai Express, I was told that I had taken money to put up a good review?
You gave a very good review to Dhoom 3 too... Dhoom 3 was a good film. The film amassed Rs 270 crore. The public is not mad. I am the barometer of the public's taste (pauses).
