Reflecting on the experience, the filmmaker expressed, "This scene was shot in a jail. Watching English films, I always felt their prisons were distinct from ours. I harboured a desire to shoot in their jails if given an opportunity, and that wish came true. It was an actual prison with real inmates." SRK mentioned the inmates weren't 'ordinary' but 'serious' criminals. Taapsee chimed in, mentioning that while they were filming, the prisoners peered out from the windows, yelling in the background.
