After their first collaboration during Karan Johar’s directorial project Kuch Kuch Hota Hai around 25 years ago, the filmmaker was all set to reunite with Salman Khan for the upcoming movie The Bull. Netizens were left ecstatic to catch a glimpse of the collaboration, however it seems like the the actor-filmmaker coming together for a movie will have to wait yet again. According to a recent report by Bollywood Hungama, Salman has opted out of the movie, which was produced by Johar’s Dharma Productions.

Yes, you read that right! As per the report, the movie has been pushed further three times owing to production delays. The 58-year-old actor was happy to adjust his dates as per the movie’s shooting schedule, however, now he is gearing up to start shooting for AR Murugadoss’ upcoming action flick. The movie will be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. According to Bollywood Hungama’s unnamed source, Salman politely informed Karan about his decision to back out from the Bull as the latter and Shershaah director Vishnu Vardhan couldn’t commit to the exact timelines of the shoot. Quoted by the Hindustan Times, the source stated, “He might give another try to make Bull a reality, but at the moment, the army film is shelved from Salman’s end. For the unversed, The Bull revolves around Brigadier Bulsara's leadership during the pivotal Operation Cactus in the Maldives in 1988. Previous reports suggested that Salman has even started a rigorous training routine to prepare for his role in the film. The film has been stalled multiple times owing to the Maldives vs Lakshadweep controversy. It is to be noted that the makers of the film have yet to release an official announcement about the movie being shelved.
