Over the years, actor Manoj Bajpayee has made a name for himself in the Hindi entertainment industry with his versatile performances. Having entered the film industry a few years after Shah Rukh Khan, they were in the same theatre group in Delhi, back in the day. During a recent interaction, the actor reminisced about the old days and revealed that he and Shah Rukh Khan would share cigarettes during their time together. He explained how everyone would share their cigarettes as no one could afford to smoke alone.
In an interview with Galatta India, the 55-year-old actor revealed that he would share his cigarettes with SRK and their other theatre mates. It was a huge deal because nobody could afford to smoke alone. He went on to recall how if someone had a cigarette they would share it with four other people. As reported by Pinkvilla, Bajpayee stated that if someone bought a pack of cigarette, they wouldn’t use it alone as it was their turn to share with the others. The Family Man actor went on to reminisce about his relationship with Shah Rukh Khan before entering Bollywood. He revealed that they were a part of Barry John’s theatre group. While he stayed a part of the group for a “very very long time,” the Dunki actor stayed with them for sometime before moving to Mumbai. Manoj added that he shifted to the city of dreams after working in Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen. On the work front, Manoj Bajpayee is currently enjoying the release of Bhaiyya Ji. Touted as the 100th film of his career, the film is directed by Apoorv Singh Karki. The actioner is their second collaboration after Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai. The actor will be next seen in Raj and DK’s The Family Man season 3.
