Actress Madhuri Dixit has seen a lot of ups and downs in her career during the 90s. As she was establishing herself in the entertainment industry with her versatile performances and heart-melting laughter, she stayed true to her conditions while working with her co-stars. However, she had to face a few situations which left her horrified. Recently an old tweet from 2017, resurfaced the internet where a netizen wrote about Annu Kapoor’s narrating how Madhuri was forced to go through a rape scene.

In an old episode of his radio show Suhana Safar with Annu Kapoor, the veteran actor had recalled the incident. Talking about it, he was heard saying how Madhuri was forced to shoot a rape scene with Ranjeet, one of Bollywood’s famous villains. When she expressed her concerns the director of the movie told her that she couldn’t back out of it. Pointing out how Kapoor used a ‘tone-deaf narration,’ the internet user went on to add that the crew of the film had clapped for the actress, who was too shaken to say a word, when the scene was completed. A part of the tweet reads, “Annu Kapoor's tone-deaf narration made the incident a juicy tidbit, not the disgusting exploitation it was. While me and my friend cringed and felt deeply uncomfortable, our cab driver thought it was hilarious and laughed at the "rape scene toh hoga" punchline.” Netizens were left horrified as they read about the incidents, a few even shared similar horrible incidents faced by actresses at the time.

For the unversed, Prem Pratigya starred Madhuri, Mithun Chakraborty and Vinod Verma in lead roles. As per the report by Bollywood Shaadis, the scene had ended on a horrible note as Ranjeet had tightened his grip on the Dhak Dhak girl which had left her trembling. The actress was left infuriated when he refused to loosen his grip. She went on to yell at him in front of everyone and warned him to never touch her.
