Bollywood actress Kajol is currently riding high on the success of Lust Stories 2 and her first web series The Trail - Pyaar, Kaanoon, Dhokha. Having made a mark in the entertainment industry with her versatile performances, she is one of the most-sought after actresses of her time. It is almost every filmmaker’s dream to work with her which included Sanjay Leela Bhansali. It would be a dream come true for cinephiles to watch the director-actress spread magic on the big screens with their collaboration.
While they are yet to come together for a project, did you know that Bhansali has approached Kajol to star in his debut movie Khamoshi: The Musical? Yes, you read that right! The actress was the filmmaker’s first choice to play the character of mute-and-deaf Anna. Being one of the most-bankable actresses of that time, it was really difficult to get in touch with her. The 49-year-old was busy shooting at that time in the interiors of Gujarat and asked him to meet her there at her hotel at an appointed time. Bhansali travelled all the way from Mumbai, in a plane, train and a car to reach the venue on time so that he could narrate his precious story. Once he reached, Kajol asked him to wait in the hotel lobby for “some time.” Minutes turned into hours, but the actress never showed up. Eight hours after patiently waiting, when he called her to know about her whereabouts, she told her that she “forgot” he was waiting for her. On the work front, Kajol was last seen in Lust Stories 2 and The Trial - Pyaar, Kaanoon, Dhokha. She will be collaborating with her Dilwale co-star Kriti Sanon, for her maiden production Do Patti. The suspense thriller will be released on Netflix and will be based in the mesmerising hills of North India. She also has an untitled project with Dharma Productions, co-starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Ibrahim Ali Khan in her pipeline.
