Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter Shweta Nanda dons many hats that of a model, columnist, author, and businesswoman. Shweta, who is married to businessman Nikhil Nanda, was the first one to appear on her daughter Navya Naveli’s debut podcast ‘What the Hell Navya’ and made some surprising revelations. She revealed that she is not financially independent however does not want her kids, Navya and son Agastya to follow in her footsteps. She wants her children to stand on their own feet.
Speaking with Etimes TV, Amitabh’s daughter admitted she is not financially independent and that she is not an ambitious person. Shweta was quoted saying, “Unfortunately, I am not financially independent and I'm not particularly an ambitious person and I make no bones about it. Elaborating further, she explained, “When I send my child to school, I am setting her up on a path where I hope that she will do something to support herself, and that’s my only requirement for both my children, Navya and Agastya.” Shweta further mentioned that she wants her kids not to even think of starting a family or getting married if they don’t have enough money in the bank to pay rent or have their own place. She especially wants her daughter to have financial security as that would give her tremendous confidence.
Shweta along with her mother Jaya Bachchan appeared on Navya’s podcast and spilled the beans on many aspects including, fame, family, and more. The podcast was released on September 24, on IVM Podcasts and other streaming platforms. The new episodes will be released every Saturday. Agastya, on the other hand, is all set to make his acting debut with Netflix's upcoming movie ‘The Archies.’
