Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has some iconic movies and songs to his credit and amongst them is the track ‘Jumma Chumma’ from the film Hum. Even today after so many years, this foot-tapping number is loved by the masses and found its place in the most loved songs. But did you know that Big B initially found this song ‘vulgar’ and wanted to get it changed? Yes, you read that right! It was Jaya Bachchan who had forecasted the success of the track and persuaded the makers to keep it.   

This surprising revelation was made by the choreographer of the song, Chinni Prakash on a recent talk show. During his appearance on ‘Weekend with Ramesh,’ he revealed that Amitabh was worried about the hook-step of the song as he found it cheap and ‘vulgar.’ The actor even requested to change the dance step. However, Chinni mentioned that Jaya asked Big B to retain the hook-step of the number. The choreographer was quoted as saying, “Jaya Ji felt the hook step would become a hit. Even if Big B was not much ok with the hook step, it was Jaya Ji who shared that the hook step will be remembered by everyone even in the upcoming eras. ‘Jumma Chumma De De’ song was sung by Sudesh Bhosle and Kavita Krishnamurthy and it showed Amitabh dancing with a red piece of cloth draped around his neck. The hookstep of the number became a rage among fans and it is still loved by everyone.

Meanwhile, the 80-year-old actor has many interesting and big-budget movies such as Project K with Prabhas, Ganapath co-starring Tiger Shroff, and ‘The Intern' remake with Deepika Padukone in the pipeline.
