Bollywood actor Jaideep Ahlawat has made a name for himself in the entertainment industry with his versatile acting performances. Having impressed the audience with his character in Sujoy Ghosh's directorial Jaane Jaan, he recently opened up about his experience of working in Raazi. Co-starring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, the Meghna Gulzar directorial won many accolades from audiences and critics, when it was released in 2018. He also revealed how the actress and the filmmaker threatened to block his number if he didn’t watch the movie.
In a recent conversation with his Jaane Jaan co-star Saurabh Sachdeva, the 43-year-old actor, who essayed the role of Khalid Mir in Raazi, shared how he had nightmares while working on the film. Stating that it is normal for him to be affected by his work, he explained how it was the first time he started having nightmares. Recalling the same he revealed that he had read so much on the subject that he was scared. Quoted by Indian Express, he added, “For the first time in my life, I would wake up with a start at night. In the same interaction, Ahlawat also revealed that he hasn’t watched around 80% of his finished work as he is often disappointed by his performances. However, he watched Raazi only because Alia and Meghna threatened to block his number. He recalled, “I watched Raazi only after Meghna and Alia threatened to block my number. I went for the fourth screening.”
Talking about Raazi, the movie emerged as a success at the box office and established Alia as one of the most-admired female leads in Bollywood. Her chemistry with all her co-stars was lauded by the fans. On the work front, Jaideep was last seen in Jaane Jaan, co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Vijay Varma.
