Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar made an appearance at the wedding reception of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in Mumbai on Monday, July 15. He was seen arriving at the venue alongside his wife, former actress Twinkle Khanna. Their arrival was captured in numerous photos and videos that quickly circulated on social media. Akshay's attendance at the reception was notable because he had to miss the actual wedding ceremony after testing positive for COVID-19. Despite this, Akshay faced criticism online soon after videos of his arrival surfaced. Many social media users trolled the actor for not wearing a mask as a precautionary measure. Questions were also raised about how he managed to test negative for COVID-19 so quickly. One user commented under a video shared by a paparazzo, "What is this.. got info that he got COVID.. and not even wearing a mask. Very bad." Another user questioned, "Wasn't he COVID-19 positive just two days ago? What's he doing wandering around? Is he going to infect everyone?" A third user expressed skepticism, asking, "Did COVID get cured very quickly?" These comments stemmed from reports on July 12, which revealed that Akshay had tested positive for COVID-19 for the third time. This diagnosis occurred during the promotions of his latest film, "Sarfira," and several members of the film's promotional team also tested positive for the virus. Akshay had previously tested positive for COVID-19 in April 2021, which resulted in his hospitalization, and again in May 2022.




On the professional front, Akshay’s latest film, "Sarfira," featuring Radhika Madan and Paresh Rawal, was released in theatres on Friday.
