A report from ETimes states that before Akshay Kumar was offered the ad and he accepted, the 31-year-old actor was the company's first choice. Aaryan was even offered a whopping Rs 15 crores to do the advertisement. He rejected doing the ad, saying it was an absolute no from his side.

A source, as quoted by an entertainment website said, "Then they wanted to bring in a third A-lister, this time a much younger superstar. So they offered Kartik Aaryan close to Rs 15 crores to join Ajay Devgn and Shah Rukh Khan. Kartik’s response was an absolute no. Only then did the makers go to Akshay Kumar."

This isn’t the first time the actor has rejected doing a pan masala ad. It seems like the actor knows which endorsements to prioritise to maintain his charming personality in front of the audience.

Khiladi Kumar, however, was not so lucky, as people brutally trolled him and schooled him on how he was tarnishing his image by promoting tobacco. It reached a point where the actor had to publicly apologise.

Releasing a statement on his social media platform, Akki wrote, "With all humility, I step back. I have decided to contribute the entire endorsement fee towards a worthy cause. The brand might continue airing the ads till the legal duration of the contract that is binding upon me, but I promise to be extremely mindful in making my future choices. In return, I shall forever continue to ask for your love and wishes. Akshay Kumar."

On the work front, Kartik has Shehzada and Captain India in the pipeline.
