One of the most loved couples in Bollywood, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan are seemingly having a very tough time in their marriage. Over the past few years, there have been a few instances where rumours of their separation surfaced on the internet. However, they never commented on it and always left their fans gushing about their bond. Well, it seems like despite trying their best to keep their marriage afloat, their ship is slowly skinning.
According to a new report by Times Now News, Aishwarya and Abhishek have been grappling with issues in their marital life for years now. Considering they have a teenage daughter together, Aaradhya Bachchan, they have decided to stay together as they do not want to raise her in a broken home. A source close to the Bachchan family told the media publication, “It is for their child that Abhishek and Aishwarya are still together. They have been having problems for years. As per the portal, the Ponniyin Selvan actress has moved out of the Bachchan residence. She divides her time between her mother and the Bachchan house, where she stays in a completely ‘segregated flank’ away from her in-laws and husband. Reportedly, the actress and her mother-in-law Jaya Bachchan have ceased all communication over the past few years. They have even stopped acknowledging each other’s presence. To add fuel to the burning firs, Shweta Bachchan permanently moving into Jalso has also aggravated the situation between the Bachchans and their bahu. Times Now states in their article, that the couple might not file for a divorce anytime soon as the family cannot afford a scandal. However, her growing distance from the family has raised a lot of concerns among her friends and well-wishers.
The divorce rumours surrounding Ash and Abhishek resurfaced again in November when the diva turned 50-years-old. While she was seen celebrating the occasion with her mother and daughter, none of her in-laws wished her. Even Abhishek had posted a very dry wish for his darling wife, which had raised concern amongst their fans.
For the unversed, the actors tied the knot with in 2007 in Mumbai in a closed-off ceremony and welcomed their daughter Aaradhya in 2011. On the work front, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was last seen in the pan-Indian film Ponniyin Selvan 2, a sequel to Ponniyin Selvan 1. The Mani Ratnam directorial also stars Trisha Krishnan, Vikram and Karthi among many others.
