Ranveer Singh is leaving no stone unturned to portray the role of a rapper to perfection for Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy. From attending workshops related to the subject to rapping with the professionals, Ranveer seems to be giving it all.

The Bajirao Mastani actor was spotted at Mahim yesterday where he was seen attending a workshop, and interacted with real-life rappers.

Not only this, he also engaged in a rap battle with the professionals and seems to have picked up the art well. Check out the video below:

No wonder, the professionals cheered for the actor.

SpotboyE.com recently  told you that Ranveer had  gone to New York to commence work for Gully Boy post wrapping Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmavati.

Gully Boy is a coming-of-age film inspired by two real-life rappers from Mumbai’s chawls – Rapper Divine aka Vivian Fernandes and Rapper Naezy aka Naved Shaikh. Ranveer Singh will play one of the rappers in the film. The film also stars Alia Bhatt who recently started prepping up for the role. Alia Bhatt, took to Instagram to inform her fans about the same. She put out a picture where she was seen reading a couple of scripts and captioned it, “The party is where the script is. Gully boy and Brahmastra prep time 💙#bestkindatime (sic).”

Talking about Ranveer Singh essaying his role in to the film, rapper Divine said, "He's a cool guy and already dresses like a rapper so he needs no tips in the fashion department from me. It is one thing to get audiences to wake up and listen to our kind of music, which is not about girls, gold, and drugs but about real life in Mumbai. But it is an even greater thing when mainstream actors like Ranveer chose to be a Gully Boy. He's now a part of our movement."
