WAR ENDS. Can You Believe It? Salman Khan Forgives Arijit Singh!

The other day, my colleague and I were arguing. He said Channa Mereya is a bigger song than the title song of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. It has proved to be really very BIG in one of the most unexpected reconciliations

They say Salman seldom forgives anybody. One of the exceptions has happened. Salman has patched up with Arijit Singh.

The story goes that Arijit was singing Channa Mereya from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil on stage at the Stardust Awards Nite, held a few days ago.

Salman was sitting in the front row and watching Arijit intently.

Suddenly, Arijit came a bit closer to the edge of the stage, looked at Salman and bowed his head slightly in respect.

And lo! Salman immediately smiled and nodded his head in reciprocation.

Bas phir kya tha? The entire bunch in the front seats was buzzing with happiness. A big war had ended.

For those who've come in late, SpotboyE was the first to tell you that these two have a BIG panga going (THE BIG MUSIC STORY, Salman boycotts Arijit from all his films, Dec 28, 2015).

Arijit had recorded a track for the Salman Khan starrer Sultan.
Fearing that history could repeat itself and his voice could again be replaced, the singer had taken to his Facebook page and written an open letter to Salman requesting the actor to not remove his song from the film. Arijit even apologised for his 'act' and expressed that Salman has 'misunderstood' him (Arijit apologises, pleads with Salman to retain his song in Sultan, May 25, 2016).

After a while, Arijit deleted the post as he felt that the gesture might backfire and replaced it with a small note.

However, Arijit's version in Sultan was NOT retained and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was summoned.

The bitterness between the two (which has now seemingly ended) dates back to February 2014, when Salman Khan hosted the Star Guild Awards and Arijit Singh blamed Salman for making him fall asleep (See the video above) . In return, Salman mocked at Arijit by saying it was all thanks to his song Tum Hi Ho which got people snoozing. Little did the singer know that he would be at a receiving end and would be shown the door for all his upcoming projects with Salman Khan.
Post the incident, Arijit had recorded Tu Hi Tu (Kick)--- but when Mohammed Irfan was brought in to step into Arijit's shoes the buzz in the industry emanating from Arijit's camp was that Salman had got the replacement done. Since then, the singer had been extending an olive branch towards the actor--- but all in vain. After that, Arijit was never a part of Salman's films like Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Hero.

Anyway, all's well that ends well. Now let's see when Arijit sings in Salman's venture.
