Wajid Khan, one half of Bollywood music composer duo Sajid-Wajid passed away in Mumbai. He was 42 and had been suffering from a prolonged Kidney and Heart ailment. According to PTI, Sajid Khan confirmed that Wajid died of a cardiac arrest and had also tested positive for Coronavirus a few days ago. Singers, actors, filmmakers, music directors and Wajid Khan’s many fans took to social media to grieve the loss of the singer-composer’s demise. Now, his brother Sajid Khan, Aditya Pancholi have reached the Versova crematorium for the last rites.
Sajid Khan was seen walking in, teary-eyed in a white kurta, and it was a heartbreaking picture. Aditya Pancholi was also in attendance, and arrived for Wajid Khan’s funeral. The video and pictures of them arriving for the last rites at Versova crematorium have surfaced on the Internet. The funeral saw an extremely small gathering due to the Coronavirus scare and the lockdown imposed.
Apart from the family members, Aalim Hakim and Salman Khan’s friend Nadeem attended the funeral.
Wajid Khan, along with his brother Sajid Khan debut as music directors with Salman Khan starrer Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya. After that, they also gave the music for movies like Partner, Wanted, Veer and most popularly for Dabangg franchise.
Dabangg producer Arbaaz Khan took to his Twitter and mourned the loss of Wajid Khan. He wrote, “RIP Wajid bhai you will be deeply missed. The music industry has lost a gem. Gone to soon. My heartfelt condolences to the grieving family and friends. Allah jannat naseeb kare.”
