Priyanka Chopra’s brother-in-law Joe Jonas and his then girlfriend Sophie Turner surprised one and all when the pictures from their impromptu wedding went viral in no time. Jonas brothers, who along with their wives attended Billboard music awards 2019, got together to get Sophie and Joe married. The news was kept under wraps until DJ Diplo began posting footage from the impromptu ceremony.
Now, during her latest interview, the actress revealed that before getting married Sophie and Joe had broken up for 24 hours and recalling the day she said it was “worst day of their lives,” they later realised it and got back together.

While speaking to Sunday Times, Sophie said, "It was the worst day of our lives," she told the outlet. But thankfully, they both quickly realized they wanted to be together." For a second we both had cold feet, then 24 hours later we were both, like, "Never mind."
Sophie further added, “Having your adolescence being displayed in public, that's something I really wish hadn't happened. Being in the age of social media when that's happening, I think I would be a much saner person if I hadn't been documented from 13 — your most awkward, uncomfortable, unsure-of-yourself years."
The GoT actress credits her now-husband with helping her overcome negativity in her life and adds, “I was going through this phase of being very mentally unwell. He was, like, ‘I can’t be with you until you love yourself, I can’t see you love me more than you love yourself.’ That was something, him doing that. I think he kind of saved my life, in a way,”
Earlier talking about the impromptu wedding, Priyanka had told People.com, “It was really funny. We were at the Billboards. I think Joe had this idea that he wanted to do this. But we were at the Billboards and he had these little black cards that we all got. We were randomly inviting our friends, like people that we met. We were like, 'alright, we're going to set up this wedding now, we're going to the chapel right from here, and please arrive, please arrive'. We had Diplo, Khalid, they were really sweet, they arrived."
