Vir Das just had the most annoying episode with Jet Airways. The stand-up comedian missed his flight, courtesy the staff’s unhelpful behaviour. Worse – no apologies, no ‘We-are-sorry-for-your-
So the story goes, Vir was at the airport lounge, waiting for the boarding announcement of his Ahmedabad-Mumbai flight. During his long wait, he repeatedly checked with the staff whether they had begun boarding or not – but was told that the process hadn’t started yet.
Finally, when he did hear about the boarding (not from the airline staff), he rushed towards the gate. And what was he told? That the boarding was completed long ago and they were not allowing late-comers inside anymore.
A furious Vir decided to confront the staff and what followed was appalling!

The staff members just refused to co-operate. One pretended to be too busy on the phone to answer Vir’s questions (how about a simple response of ‘Let-me-look-into-the-
Vir also posted a video where one of the members graciously agreed that he missed his flight owing to their mistake.
