When the Me Too movement hit the Indian film industry, several big names were brought up and accused by women for sexual harassment and misconduct in the media industry. One of the names that created a stir was Queen's director Vikas Bahl. But, recently, the director was announced clean and removed all the charges against him. Due to which, Vikas name was reinstated as director of Super 30. As the director was announced clean chit, the film industry gave mixed reviews.

According to Hindustan Times, Tanushree Dutta, Sona Mohapatra, Suchitra Krishnamoorthi were unhappy about the decision. Tanushree Dutta said, "I am very disappointed with the media reports of #MeToo accused sneaking back into Bollywood with rumors of clean chits. I just want to say that nobody is foolish to believe this-called clean chits give by internal committees and organizations that we've never heard of before. In fact, I'd take clean chit by law, too, with a pinch of salt as many time due to lack of evidence, victims don't press legal charges on the accused. I'm not surprised because I know how clever these people are and the tactics they will use to combat the effect of #MeToo."

Sona Mohapatra, "What
I had tweeted about the situation of the industry os accurate. It's a systemic issue and will take time to change but things are changing. Most of the production houses have conducted in a place where crew members can lodge a complaint if they are in an uncomfortable situation. That is a big positive change. A clean chit can't be the reason to say, 'he was innocent' I don't think anybody is foolish enough to think that way."

The playback singer even took this matter to Twitter and tweeted, "The fraternity, filmmakers, crews, actors & all participants of this industry who know the truth should stand up & want to clean up this open secret of a mess? This is a systemic issue. Rehabilitation of such men will harm us all. Their disease will show up sooner or later.."

Suchitra Krishnamoorthi said, "To prove sexual harassment allegations legally is practically impossible. I am not surprised that people like Vikas Bahl, Anu Malik, and Alok Nath are back at work. Courts are all about evidence, and they are blind to allegations. These cases are bound to be lost, but I also feel there is a bit of hypocrisy in the movement because a lot of time, women who spoke up didn't take it ahead."
