Last month, the team of 2020 action drama, Faruk Kabir’s Khuda Haafiz, reunited to take the franchise forward in Lucknow. The first film featured Vidyut Jammwal and Shivaleeka Oberoi in the lead as a newly married couple who, due to recession, find a job in the Middle East. But it turns out to be human trafficking case as the wife is kidnapped as soon as they reach there. Vidyut played the determined husband who travels miles to save his wife and get her back from the foreign land. The lead pair will now take the couple’s story forward in Khuda Haafiz: Chapter 2, which its director describes as their “agnipariksha”.
The first part was shot in Uzbekistan and now, the director exclusively informs Spotboye.com that another foreign location has been finalised for the second part. “We are here in Lucknow for about two months at least. As for the rest of the shoot, we are shooting in and around Lucknow. A little bit of shoot will be done in Mumbai and the last schedule will take place in Egypt towards October end,” he informs.
In an earlier conversation with Spotboye.com, Faruk had said that he is trying to bring forward an unexplored view of Lucknow with Khuda Haafiz: Chapter 2. “I don’t claim to do something very different but I am looking at Lucknow like a foreigner tourist who has come to this city for the first time. As Indians, we ignore a lot of things that we take for granted, so that perception has given me a different visual perspective,” he had said, promising that there will be a lot of Lucknow flavour in the film.
