Decisions taken by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) have always gone under the microscope. Aware of the criticism that CBFC members have been subjected to, Vidya Balan has excused herself from the film screenings of the films which have her husband Siddharth Roy Kapur and her brothers-in-law Aditya and Kunaal Roy Kapoor on the credits.
A source told a leading tabloid, “She has decided to excuse herself from the CBFC screening of films that she or her family members are associated with. It was a conscientious move which was welcomed by the board members." While Balan refused to comment about her move, however, her spokesperson confirmed the news.
On the professional front, Vidya Balan was last seen on the big screen in Begum Jaan (2017). The film did not work well at the box-office, but the actress’ performance was praised. Her next film is Tumhari Sulu, the trailer of which released a few days back.
Vidya as Sulochana aka Sulu essays a late-night radio jockey whose sexy voice manages to enthral the listeners. Sulu who is a beautiful, enthusiastic and happy-go-lucky Mumbai housewife, sees her life take a 360 degrees turn when she unexpectedly lands herself with the exciting job of a night RJ on a leading radio station.
Coming back to the decision Vidya has taken, we think it’s a wise one.Image Source:instagram/vidyabalanfans
