While Disney UTV's last film

the exit date of its MD- Siddharth Roy Kapur.
December 20 its
is, 3 days before Aamir Khan's Dangal sees the light of day.
Kapur (42) has headed the Indian arm of the American conglomerate that
currently operates Disney and UTV Motion Pictures as well as a network of
television channels since 2014.
Kapur joined UTV in 2005. He took over as chief executive officer
of UTV Motion Pictures in 2008 and after the integration of UTV with The Walt
Disney Co. (India) in 2012, held the role of managing director-studios. He was
promoted as managing director of Disney India in 2014.
According to Walt Disney International, Mahesh Samat will be the
new managing director of The Walt Disney Company India .
Samat will resume management of all Disney businesses in India (except
ESPN), with all local business segments reporting into him.
“Mahesh guided Disney in India in its early days, and we are thrilled
with his decision to return to the organization he helped build.We are
encouraged by the opportunity we see to further grow our business in India,”
Andy Bird, Chairman, Walt Disney International says in a statement.
Kapur is moving on explore his own business interests.
