A journalist asked, “A lot of films are made that makes fun of people for example Ae Dil Hai Mushkil mein, Mohammad Rafi saab ka mazaak udaaya gaya tha. What do you have to say to that?”

To which Vidhu Vinod Chopra responded, “I don’t watch Hindi films. I haven’t seen Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and I am not going to watch it either. I have no interest in watching that film.” (He restrained in even saying the name of the film)

We wonder what could be the reason for Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s reaction. He might not like watching Hindi films, or was it the fact that it starred Pakistani actor Fawad Khan and Vidhu wanted to support his nation by not watching the film or is this some unknown glitch between Karan and him? Can’t say but we were quite surprised with his reply!

Later, he was also asked if he was there to support Ventilator because it’s directed by Rajesh Mapuskar who directed Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Ferrari Ki Sawari(2012) starring Sharman Joshi and Vidya Balan, to which he replied, “I am not supporting Ventilator, I am here to support a good film. If Ventilator was a bad movie, I wouldn’t have come here even after knowing this is by Rajesh Mapuskar.”

Ventilator is Priyanka Chopra’s production venture. She recently came out with a Marathi Song, ‘Baba’ from the film which the lady has sung in her own voice in Marathi (Priyanka Chopra Spills Magic As She Croons Her FIRST Marathi Song For Ventilator, Nov 3).

Ventilator has filmmaker Ashutosh Gowarikar in the lead. It is helmed by Rajesh Mapuskar. Coming back to Vinod’s comment on Karan Johar’s ambitious project – Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, we wonder how will Karan react to it?
