Papon’s kissing controversy has snowballed and is now the topic of discussion on social media.

A few minutes back, we told you how the channel airing The Voice India Kids, &TV, is contemplating at the singer’s fate as a judge on the show now. And now, we bring you a video of the minor girl, who Papon kissed, where the contestant along with her family, is defending the singer.

Watch the video:

In a video, clearing her stance, the girl has said, “During the Holi episode, all parents and us, kids, had gone up to Papon sir...we were playing and having some fun when we went live on Facebook. So everyone saw he didn’t do anything to me... he kissed me like he would kiss his own child. My mother and my father also kiss me lovingly so there is nothing wrong about it. Papon sir didn’t do anything with the wrong intention.”

For those who have come late, a video on Papon's Facebook timeline showed him celebrating Holi with the contestants of The Voice India Kids, a show which the singer judges. He is seen applying gulal to one of the female contestants and then he kisses her, allegedly by force. The girl looks uncomfortable as Papon forcefully tries to kiss her on the lips.

Last evening, Papon in his defence wrote an open letter claiming that he feels blamed for no fault of his. While his lawyer Gaurang Kanth said on a TV channel that Papon "only gave a peck" and it was "his way of showing affection".

Meanwhile, the girl's parents have refused to lodge a complaint against Papon, and instead issued a statement that said the singer is "a mentor and a father figure to my daughter, and has always encouraged her to pursue her dreams... What you saw in the video is not intentional. It was just a moment of affection that is being portrayed otherwise".

Well, with the girl defending Papon, we wonder if this makes for a case at all. Watch this space for any further development on this controversy.
