The Surgical Strike starring Vicky Kaushal that received lots of love from Hindi audience is now set to release in Telugu. The film will have a Telugu dubbed version which will release in the Telugu speaking states of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. The film will be out in cinemas on June 14, this Friday.
RSVP producer Ronnie Screwvala updated through a tweet with the picture of the movie poster which read,”#URI was truly a movement. A movement that every Indian resonated to and cherished their hearts. To touch more lives - #URI now in telugu. @vivkykaushal09”.
The original Hindi version of the movie won a thousand hearts and received ample amount of love from the audiences all over the country. The film grossed over Rs.245 crore to become the medium budget highest grossing domestic box-office films and it is said to be the Top Hindi earner of 2019.
Uri is written and directed by the talented first-time director Aditya Dhar, and is based on the September 2016 surgical strikes conducted by the Indian Army against the terror launchpads in Pakistan across the Indian LOC (Line of Control) in Kashmir. It was in retaliation to a terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s URI earlier in the month.
The trio team of the movie will be supposedly reuniting for a period film based on Ashwathama which is currently in its pre-production stage. By the mid of 2020, the makers are looking closely to release the film.
Vicky Kaushal will be seen next in BHOOT Part one – The Haunted Ship, a new Horror franchise by Dharma Productions which is set to release on the 15th November 2019.
