Actor Vicky Kaushal will play the role of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw in the biopic, directed by Shoojit Sircar. The film went on floors last year and the makers have recently dropped the trailer of Vicky Kaushal-starrer biopic Sardar Udham. The trailer has left the fans eagerly waiting for the film as it features Vicky in a never-seen-before avatar focusing on his undeterred mission of avenging the lives of his beloved brethren, who were ruthlessly murdered in the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre of 1919.
In a recent interaction, Vicky opened up about suffering injures while shooting the film and having 13 facial stitches before commencing the shoot for ‘Sardar Udham’. The actor revealed that he was injured while shooting for another film 4 days before beginning the shoot for ‘Sardar Udham’. “I got 13 stitches on my cheek. I clicked a photo with my stitches and the first person I sent the photo to was Shoojit Da (Sircar) because in four days he was starting Sardar Udham. Sir said, --Koi Baat Nahi stitches leke aajao. ( It’s okay, you may come for the shoot),” Vicky Kaushal shared.
He also went on to reveal that the scar that on the face of Sardar Udham is the scar from his previous shoot. The actor also shared that he had to don several looks in the film, which will soon be known and seen in detail. Last year, the makers had dropped the first look of Vicky Kaushal bearing an uncanny resemblance to Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw and we were all left stunned.
The makers of the biopic, on the occasion of the death anniversary of the legend, revealed another look of Kaushal who is all set to play Sam Manekshaw on screen as they pay their tribute.
