Aditya Dhar’s forthcoming sci-fi project The Immortal Ashwatthama, starring Vicky Kaushal in the lead role, is one of the most highly anticipated movies. The flick has been creating a huge buzz, of late, for all the right reasons. Earlier this year, the shooting for the mega-scale sci-fi project got delayed due to the ongoing Covid 19 pandemic. However, Vicky and Aditya along with the team then hoped to kick start the film's shoot in August in Europe. However, getting visa clearance for a Europe shoot has now put a dampener on Dhar's plans.

According to a report in Mid-Day, the team has not yet received visa clearance, which has delayed their plans to travel to Europe for the shoot. The web portal quoted a source close to the development as saying, “The team is awaiting visa clearance, which takes longer in the post-pandemic times. First, Aditya will travel with a lean team for the recce. He has not finalised the countries, and the venues may change, depending on the situation in Eastern Europe.”

“The rest of the unit will join them only after the on-ground checks have been cleared. Vicky is likely to start the film between mid- and late-August, after wrapping up Mr Lele,” the insider added.

On a related note, The Immortal Ashwatthama will see Vicky Kaushal playing the character inspired by warrior Ashwatthama in Mahabharata. The Raazi star has undergone a tremendous physical transformation in order to get into the skin of his role. The upcoming actioner marks Aditya Dhar and Vicky Kaushal’s second outing together after Uri: The Surgical Strike.
