It won’t be wrong to say that the Coronavirus pandemic has plunged several markets, including the film industry, in every possible way. Shootings have come to a halt and the worst part is that we are deprived of new releases from the time the deadly virus took over India. And, now, as per Mumbai Mirror, the release of Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan’s Coolie No.1, too, has been pushed ahead after the likes of Sooryavanshi, ’83 and Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar.
As per the report, the David Dhawan directorial will probably make it in the month of June or July; however, that too if the situation comes under control. A source close to the film’s development revealed to the tabloid, “The call will be taken only after the situation gets back to normal. But it is definitely not arriving on May 1 now. Maybe June, July or even later, depending on when the scare subsides.” Prior to this, the team of Coolie No.1 had also rescheduled their trailer launch date, owing to the pandemic.
We, at SpotboyE, had exclusively reported the chances of Coolie No.1 being postponed soon after Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif’s Sooryavanshi and Ranveer Singh starrer ’83 were pushed ahead. Guess, all the moviegoers are going to have a tough time in the coming few days or probably months.
Originally, Coolie No.1 was slated to release on May 1. The film, which has been helmed by David Dhawan, is an official remake of his 1995 comedy film that starred Govinda and Karisma Kapoor in the lead roles.
