Here’s yet
another setback for Team Kalank. After three of its cast members – Alia Bhatt,
Varun Dhawan and Aditya Roy Kapur – were injured on-set, the third schedule of
the film came to an abrupt halt after a part of the set gave way due to
heavy rains in the city.

A report in
Mumbai Mirror suggests that the film’s set had been erected at Chitrakoot
Grounds in Andheri and the team had shot certain portions before the incident
at the site.
A source told the
tabloid, “The team was to shoot a 20-day schedule starting July 31. Now, the
shoot is postponed for at least two weeks as dates for all the cast members who
have scenes together had to be reworked. The makers have decided to wait for
the rains to let up before resuming shoot.”
Work on
rebuilding the set, which is designed by Amrita Mahal, is expected to begin
shortly.
Earlier this
month, Aditya Roy Kapur had hurt his jaw and broke his tooth while
shooting for an action sequence on set.
Before that Varun
Dhawan, who too was shooting an action sequence for the film, injured his arm
resulting in the shoot coming to an abrupt halt.
Alia had tripped
on the stairs and injured her foot. It had
to be bandaged but Alia was back to shooting despite the pain because the team
is on a tight schedule.
Hope this ends
the rough patch for the film’s team.
