To Times Now, Union Minister for Housing & Urban Affairs (I/C), Civil Aviation (I/C) & MoS Commerce & Industry, Hardeep Singh Puri, stated that all the due processes are being followed by the investigating agencies and Rhea's arrest has nothing to do with keeping the patriarchy alive. He was quoted saying, "I don’t buy the patriarchy argument. There is a due process to the investigation which is being followed."
Post Rhea's arrest, celebrities like Farhan Akhtar, Shibani Dandekar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Vidya Balan, Hansal Mehta, Anurag Kashyap, Huma Qureshi and others took to their respective social media handles to share "Roses are red, violets are blue, let's smash the patriarchy, me and you."
Sushant Singh Rajput died on June 14. He was reportedly found hanging in his bedroom by a ceiling fan. The cause of his suicide was earlier said to be depression.
