Priyanka Chopra poured her heart out in her recently released memoir titled Unfinished. She wrote about her life journey and things that affected her the most. In the book, she also penned about a nose surgery that she underwent in the early 2000s. PeeCee, who has now become a global icon, wrote about the botched nose surgery and how it made her look completely different. As its aftermath, Priyanka revealed that she lost out on films because of it.
Priyanka revealed that in 2001, she suffered a lingering headache and had trouble breathing. Being an asthma patient, she could not ignore these signs. She consulted a doctor who said polyp in her nasal cavity needed to be surgically removed."While shaving off the polyp, the doctor also accidentally shaved the bridge of my nose and the bridge collapsed. When it was time to remove the bandages and the condition of my nose was revealed, Mom and I were horrified. My original nose was gone. My face looked completely different. I wasn't me anymore," she wrote. "I felt devastated and hopeless. Every time I looked in the mirror, a stranger looked back at me," she added.
Further, she mentioned about the films that she was removed from because of her nose surgery gone wrong. One of the films she was replaced from was Asar starring Ajay Devgn and Dilip Kumar, as revealed by her in her book. She even shared the poster of the film in the book. She was tagged 'Plastic Chopra'. Over this, she said, "Let's just call it out right now. Immediately the name started to show up in articles and newspaper items and it has followed me my entire professional life."
