Amidst Russia and Ukraine’s ongoing war, Shahid Kapoor’s wife Mira Rajput slammed a tweet of US financial expert Peter Schiff that questioned Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's outfit during his recent address to the US Congress. Mira shared a screenshot on her social media handle of the Ukrainian President in which he is seen wearing his trademark green t-shirt.

The tweet read, "I understand times are hard, but doesn't the President of the #Ukraine own a suit? I don't have much respect for current members of the US Congress either, but I still wouldn't address them wearing a T-shirt. I wouldn't want to disrespect the institution or the United States."

Sharing the tweet, she wrote, "You'd ask him to wear cufflinks if you could... Seriously!" Further, she questioned, "Are we getting so influenced by 'looks' and looking the part, that we forget reality? Expecting a Head of State to have his suit steamed in the middle of a crisis?"

Earlier, several celebrities all across the globe have shared the concern and expressed their grief on the current situation of Ukraine. From filmmaker Onir to lyricist Javed Akhtar, many others have raised their voice against Russia’s military operation that left the Ukrainian devastated.
Last month, global actress Priyanka Chopra also shared her views on the operations carried by Russia and called it terrifying. She had shared the news and wrote, "The situation unfolding in Ukraine is terrifying. Innocent people living in fear for their lives and the lives of their loved ones, while trying to navigate the uncertainty of the immediate future”.
