COVID-19 second wave has been affecting a lot of lives across the world, the pandemic that got the world to a halt in 2020, still continues to get many countries under lockdown. This, leading to many celebrations being cancelled, one of them being legendary actor Jeetendra's birthday bash. The actor who turns 79 today will also not host any party keeping in mind the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. In conversation with ETimes, his son and actor Tusshar Kapoor shared the deets of his father’s birthday plans. The actor shared though they will have a celebration, it will be a low-key family affair due to the pandemic.
Tusshar Kapoor said, “Owing to the ongoing situation, dad’s birthday will be a low-key family affair. And it has always been this way, just with close family and friends. However, this year, celebrations will be more intimate for obvious reasons.” His sister and ace producer Ekta Kapoor was seen sharing birthday wishes penned by her friends for her father on respective social media. The family also did not host a Diwali bash this year due to legendary actor Rishi Kapoor’s sad demise.
Jeetendra and Rishi Kapoor were close friends.
Meanwhile, his son Tusshar who has been busy churning out films in the capacity of a producer has been enjoying the success of his recently released movie, Laxmii on the OTT platform.
