Indian athlete Mirabai Chanu has made the country proud today! She created history by winning a silver medal for weightlifting at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.  Celebrities Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kangana Ranaut, Anushka Sharma, Dia Mirza and several others sent congratulations to the national athlete. Congratulations are pouring in for Mirabai from all quarters ever since the news of her victory broke. After actresses Kareena Kapoor and Anushka Sharma, Taare Zameen Par actress Tisca Chopra also shared a congratulatory tweet for Mirabai Chanu. However, she got heavily trolled.

Taking to her Twitter handle, Tisca Chopra shared a photo of Indonesian weightlifter Aisah Cantika instead of Mirabai Chanu. “You make us proud girl! @mirabai_chanu #Tokyo2021 #Olympics2021 #indiaattheolympics”, she tweeted, sharing the wrong photo. Replying to her tweet, many reacted and trolled her for using the wrong photo. One social media user pointed out that its not Mirabai but an Indonesian lifter, who won bronze. The troll had pointed out her mistake and tweeted, “She is not Mirabai Chanu. She is the Indonesian lifter who won bronze.” One user wrote, “She's from Indonesia... That's not Chanus pic... Please check ur tweet”, while another said, “She is not Mirabai Chanu! Improve your presence of mind and knowledge”. A third user tweeted, “What a shame”.

After getting trolled, the actress made a perfect comeback. She accepted her mistake bravely and gave a befitting reply to a few who trolled her. Replying to one troll, Tisca said, “Sorry - made a mistake.” She added a folded hands and red heart emoji too. In another tweet, Tisca said, “Glad you guys had fun! That was a genuine mistake, am so sorry .. still doesn’t mean I am not proud of @mirabai_chanu at the #TokyoOlympics .. and of the rest of our contingent." The actress accepted it was a genuine mistake. She apologized and congratulated Chanu.



Meanwhile, China’s Hou Zhihui won the gold medal in weightlifting at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. Indonesian athlete Aisah Windy Cantika took home the bronze medal. Mirabai Chanu made Indians proud by winning the silver medal for India during the Tokyo 2020 olympic games.
