Late Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan has won hearts with his stellar performances worldwide. Irrfan, who marked his acting debut with Oscar-nominated film Salaam Bombay went to feature in several films. Like Irrfan Khan, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has also managed to carve her niche in the film industry. So far, she has earned herself four National Film Awards in ‘Best Actress’ and ‘Best Actress in supporting role’ category. Now, read of the time when Kangana revealed the reason why Khan had said no to working with her.

Did you know that Kangana Ranaut and Irrfan Khan were to star together in a film? Well, the film did not see the light of day eventually. However, at an event, Kangana had opened up about what Khan felt about sharing screen space with her. While speaking with the media, according to a report in IndianExpress, the actress recalled a conversation that she had with Irrfan Khan. She mentioned it was after the release of the film Tanu Weds Manu. The actress shared what she told Irrfan. Ranaut had said, “I told him we must start that film. He is like – ‘Yeah but ek mayaan me do talware kaise rahengi.’”

The Thalaivi actress said she thought it was a compliment and mentioned she would love to have someone like Khan work with her. Kangana added, “I thought that was a compliment. I would love to have someone like Irrfan sir work with me. Someone who will give a tough competition.” She continued, “For me, it is a big deal that he thinks that I am a competition for him. It is such a compliment. I am floored and flattered by it.”
